Defending Health Care in 2017 Webinar Series
Since the 2016 election, we have been hosting weekly webinars to help advocates defend health care progress. We discuss topics ranging from the impacts of repeal on specific populations to strategies to influence legislators, both federally and in the states. Check back weekly to register for the next webinar in the series or to listen to previous calls.
On Wednesday, August 9, we held a webinar to discuss what’s next in defending health care.
As a community we achieved a tremendous victory, defeating the most significant attempt at repealing the Affordable Care Act (ACA) in Congress to date.
However, we continue to face threats from the Administration and Congress that jeopardize the future of the Affordable Care Act and Medicaid. At the same time, opportunities for bipartisan legislative improvements to health care are emerging, and August recess is a key time to keep raising our voices about the need to #ProtectOurCare.
