Internship Role
We are currently looking for an Intern to work with our IT team. This team builds and maintains information technology infrastructure and services to ensure digital transformation and innovation. This intern will report to the Dep. Senior Director, PMO & IT and work alongside the IT team and be ready to lend a hand with the day-to-day responsibilities. You’ll have an opportunity to share a fresh perspective, learn and gain experience during this internship.
Role/Responsibilities may include:
- Assist with the troubleshooting of various applications and software.
- Assist with evaluation of documented resolutions and analyze trends for ways to prevent future problems.
- Assist with analysis of results, make recommendations for support process improvement and work alongside IT to implement changes.
- Assist with database administration to track hardware and software assets.
- Assist with user access reporting and monthly performance metric reports.
- Provide general support to the IT team.
Your Background
- Currently enrolled in an Information Technology undergraduate or graduate related studies.
- Experience using Microsoft 365 Suite of applications.
- Strong data collection and research skills.
- Good analytical and writing skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Must have basic knowledge of computer hardware, software, database administration and project management a plus
- Professionalism and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work individually, as well as part of a team.
Our Work Environment
Interns are paid $18.00 per hour and normally work between 20-30 hours per week. Interns at Families USA are considered and treated as integral members of the staff who have substantive roles to play in achieving the best health and health care for everyone in the country. Families USA considers its internship program an important opportunity to develop the next generation of health justice leaders. Internships are structured to facilitate professional development, with interns working with their supervisor and a mentor on developing and achieving goals, including taking advantage of different learning opportunities in our nation’s capital. The internship will be for 3 months.
